Salon hair coloring? prices and permanent?

i have dyed my brown hair black before. it was from a box. the box said it was PERMANENT. but that was a load of crap. it washed out after a little while. now im looking to dye my brown hair black again. but this time im considering a salon job. i would like to know the average prices for dying and the best place that can give me a very very very 100% permanent job. my hair is a little thick and a couple inches below my shoulders. thanx.Salon hair coloring? prices and permanent?
Take it from someone who has been coloring hair myself and having it done for years and years...the color washes out if the pigment in your hair is gone, or either you have oily hair, or wash it very often, even dry hair, color never last even by a professional, even with all the shampoo's and conditioners for color to stay true, they don't last, and now they have glaze out that helps the color stay truer by staining the hair, but, the more you wash your hair the more the color fades. I've paid hundreds at a time, and the color still doesn't last, and done it on my own...it's all the same...just depends on your hair type, ect...but, don't waste the money, and don't over color your hair too much to damage it...good luckSalon hair coloring? prices and permanent?
No hair colouring product is 100% permanent. Drug store hair colouring products are labelled permanent because they don't wash out in just 2 or 3 shampoos. But they will all fade with time, usually in less than 4 weeks.

Plus, remember your hair grows (about a millimeter a day) so even if the colour is permanent your roots are your natural colour.

Professional hair colouring products are more saturated and will last longer than drug store brands, but short of bleaching your hair to strip out all your colour and then dying it completely nothing will be 100% permanent. But a professional salon will give you colour that lasts longer than box brands.

My natural colour is brown, and I had a professional bleach it blond and I go back once a month to have them touch up my roots.
First of all there is no very, very, very permanent hair color. They all fade and wash out over time, depending on how much time you spend in the sun and how often you wash your hair. If you go to a salon expect to pay $35 or higher and it will need to be redone every 4-8 weeks to maintain it. You can do that yourself, the biggest difference is when they redo it they get just the roots for the first 10-20 minutes then pull it through the rest of the hair so the ends don't grab to much color or get damaged. If you have someone who can help you each time, I'd do it at home. Just buy the following items and dedicate them for hair coloring: a plastic bowl, a color brush (from Sally's), clips to separate the sections, and a rat tailed comb. Good luck
Depends on where you are, usually an all over colour will cost between 鈧?0-60, but Ive found that no colour is 100% permenant, usually it fades from a salon and needs to be done every 6 weeks but a good shampoo should help maintain the colour for longer. Ive just realised that Im answering questions on hair and my nickname is ';brokenhairvicky'; dont be put off tho cuz my hair is broken from bleaching and a dumb hairdresser, damn it I should have stayed brunette!
