I am going to go to a salon to get my hair dyed for the first time!!!!?

(I usually just do it myself at home) Will they also dye my eyebrows to match? If so, does it cost more. If I bring in a picture from a magazine of the color that I want, will they be able to match the color? Thanks!I am going to go to a salon to get my hair dyed for the first time!!!!?
When it comes to color, the majority of the salons will try to find the color you want. They don't do your eyebrows, but you can always ask, and I'm sure they will also do that for you. It could be maybe 3-5 extra bucks? Can't be that much, but it all depends on where you're going, good luck (:I am going to go to a salon to get my hair dyed for the first time!!!!?
If you go to a good salon, they should be able to get pretty close to the color you would like...but it also depends on what color you currently have. That can make a difference. Usually they won't color your eyebrows, but you can ask and sometimes they won't charge you since it doesn't take much. I hope it turns out well!
most people dont have matching hair and brow color, usually the brows are darker, and if your going light blond sometimes blonde eyebrows can wash a person out. if your eyebrows are extremely dark and think or your dyeing your hair red and have no natural warm tones in your hair then they may suggest that you tint them so they blend better with your hair color (but not match) and they would charge you.
Sure ok....good luck sweety

They screwed up on my hair in a salon....?

I went back to the salon to try and resolve the issue but he said there is nothing he can do about it. All I wanted was for him to say he will give me a free cut or anything next time but he didn't and said I was wrong. I want to write a full page review in the paper about, in my opinion, how shitty his salon is. Will he be able to sue me and win? They screwed up on my hair in a salon....?
He will always be able to sue you----then it's on you to prove your allegations. Even if you say the 100% absolute truth, you may well be sued over this. Then you'll have to go to court and defend what you said. Is that really worth it over a bad haircut?

The same could be said for word-of-mouth bashing. If you say anything, make sure it's the absolute truth, that you can back up with proof.

There are bigger issues in life than a bad haircut. Warn your friends and move on.

EDIT: Oh, you checked, did you? With an attorney who works in your local jurisdiction, and knows how the courts deal with such things in your area? Whatever you ';checked'; is crap, just like most answers you can get on here. We've all told you honestly that you're NEVER sue-proof, and you're choosing to ignore us. Nice. Next time you want to ask for help, maybe actually listen to those of us trying to help you. I'm not trying to be mean, but your update is a slap in the face to this community. They screwed up on my hair in a salon....?
Write a letter to the editor. Expressing your opinion only. After all it is the land of freedom of speech. And your opinion my by slanderous and libelous, but it is only your opinion. Take pictures and verify it.
You had better be careful with that the salon could sue you if you defame them in the paper.

Destroy them by word of mouth- that would be the safest thing to do

A lawsuit and lawyers cost money, honey and sometimes it's just not worth it.
what is the difference between a good hair cut and a bad hair cut? two weeks!!!!!!!
You must be truthful in what you write, and then you'll be ok.

No exaggerations, no extra adjectives, etc.
Yes, he would be able to sue you, and he would probably win. It would be better to do it by word of mouth and recommend that your friends boycott the salon, and report them to the Better Business Bureau. Also, a lot of local searches (like Yahoo) also have spots where users can submit reviews of a particular business, and those are relatively anonymous and likely wouldn't be libelous. Start there.

  • Does anyone know of a salon that does ';thread wrapped hair'; near Salt Lake City, Utah?

I recently got home from the Cayman Islands. While I was there, a lady on the beach put one of these in my hair and I LOVE It. They take a small peice of hair, braid it then wrap it in some colorful thread. Usually 3 different colors. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place that offers this service in my area? HELP!!Does anyone know of a salon that does ';thread wrapped hair'; near Salt Lake City, Utah?
Try finding a salon employee or manager that can help. http://www.topratedhairsalons.com/Utah-H鈥?/a>Does anyone know of a salon that does ';thread wrapped hair'; near Salt Lake City, Utah?
I'll give you a website that has the numbers of all the salons around Salt Lake City, and you can just easily call and ask.

I'm afraid to go to a salon for a hair cut!?

I got a real bad haircut... I hate it, and I can't think about anything else. I know I need to see a professional stylist who might be able to make it look decent. I know it's silly but I'm afraid to go Ibecause I am terrified they will laugh at me or accuse me of cutting it myself. So I'm stuck being miserable with this awful hair. How can I get over my fear?I'm afraid to go to a salon for a hair cut!?
A stylist probably hears that 20 times a week. If the cut is that bad then you will have to somewhere else to have it fixed. Explain to them what you just said here and tell them you need them to fix what this other person did to your hair. They will sympathize and will try to fix your hair so that maybe you will become a ';regular'; if they do a good job. Good Luck!I'm afraid to go to a salon for a hair cut!?
An easy way of getting over your fear is to imagine what it is like living with a cut you absolutely HATE.

That always gets me to the salon FAST!

Also, if it was a hairdresser that cut your hair originally, go back to them and let them know you dont like their style. If they are reputable, they will offer to style it to something you like.
Most hair salons are very nice to people about messed up haircuts.

A lot of hair stylists are trained to fix bad haircuts.

So more than likely, they've seen something far worse than your hair.

Just go to them, explain what happened, see if they can teach you how to style it if you don't want to cut more of it off, or just get a completely different hairstyle.
courage is when you do it despite your fear.

    sounds stupid? still its true.

honey, it don't matter what they think. a good, sensitive hairdresser / stylist will not mention this. he will not accuse you, make fun of you or laugh.

    go to a dresser's.

it'll be a lot better with a new cut.
Take it slow, don't rush it too much.

WATCH the stylist the entire time and ask what is he/she doing..if you don't like anything stop her before it gets too extreme looking.

    haircuts are fun!

especially when they turn out awesome looking!

    :]
IT's not like ull ever see them again... Like, under a 1% chance lol... Forget them, might as well go, or experiment on doing different hairstyling products, styling it different from home...

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
    Walk in there with confidence.

Act like your cut is the new style.

    Work it.

Plus you probably won't see them again.
    their stupid for laughing.

its their job to get paid to cut peoples hair

if its that awful u should go to a stylist..

ive had bad hair styles in my life n

i always think ppl are laughin at me..

but hei everyone gets laughed at once in awhile..
my sister accidentally died her hair purple once.

idk how. lol. but she was embarrassed and still went to the hair salon.

    dont worry about it :)
who caresz wat they think it all about wat u think of urself
dont worry about the odd snigger here as when your done flaunt it and see the wows you get

    lets get started then wow!

What would u do if the lady at the salon cut you're hair short on one side?

And it is very noticable!!!!What would u do if the lady at the salon cut you're hair short on one side?
Go get your money back and DO NOT let them cut your hair again!

Quickly go to a DIFFERENT salon! What would u do if the lady at the salon cut you're hair short on one side?
I have been there sad to say. Call the salon and ask to speak to the manager, be nice, and explain the problem. They should welocme you back immediatley, and a senior stylist will ';fix the cut. Good Luck.
Go back and ask to speak to her...although it is very upsetting to you (I've been in this situation before), it probably wasn't something she intentionall did. She should offer to fix it for no charge. I'm assuming that although noticible, it must not be horrific, since you left the salon without telling some people off. Ask if she will trim it up and she would probably be more than willing. If she hassles you, ask for her manager.
First thing, after I seen ma hair cut.

I would probably have this look on ma face like I was about to cry [but I'm not]

Then to the person that did this,

I would go completely off %26amp; act like ah straght fool.

I would make that person don ma hair ah differnt way to make it look ah lil bit better.

And that person would not be paid for his/her services!
I would go back to the salon show the manager what the person at the salon did to your hair and request they fix it.
    Go back and very politely ask for the manager and tell him/her what happened. If he/she asks why you didn't say anything when you were there the first time tell them that you couldn't notice how bad a cut it was till you washed it and styled it at home. Then say, ';This is my favorite place to have my hair done and I'd really appreciate it if someone could fix this.';

    I only say to be nice and polite because it's a good idea not to piss off the person who's gonna be taking the sissors to your hair again... the last think you want is an even worse hair cut cause someone's thinking, ';What a *****!';

Who knows, if you're really nice about it they might give you some samples for free or something like that... don't hesitate to ask about the products and ask for samples though, you don't get what you don't ask for.

Hope you get it all 'straightened out' (sorry, couldn't resist the pun)
I'm a hair stylist and I tell my customers that if they see anything they don't like within a day or two, I will redo it for free....doesn't happen often ; - ) . Anway, you should definately go back and ask her or the owner of the Salon to fix it at no charge. If they don't, find a new hair stylist.
Go back and have her fix it. Or go back and have someone else in the salon fix it for you.
go back to the salon and nicely ask them to fix it .this happened to me and i told them they made a mistake and i wasn't charged for the new do!be strong and stand up for your self !!and your hair!!
Call her up and ask her, nicely, to even it out. No one is perfect. As long as you are not acting like a high maintenance snot; they shouldn't mind.
Definitely---- NICELY----tell her you have a problem with the cut and you would like her to change it for you, like, even it up. She will not expect you to pay any more.

Tell her ahead of time , like over the phone, and you won't have to discuss it when you get there.
you calmly and politely point out the mistake to her, try not to upset her, or things could get worse!. after she has fixed your haircut and you look fabulous again ask her in a joking matter how she wants to handle payment! And Never Return!
after cussing her out i would refuse to pay for the service and take her azz to court.
    sue her
Have the owner cut it even for no charge.
go back to the salon and get her to even it out (at no additional charge).
Go back to the salon and ask the lady to cut the other side.
YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER PAID THE PERSON WHO CUT YOUR HAIR!!! GO BACK TO THE SALON AND ASK TO TALK TO THE MANAGER.....YOU SHOULD GET YOUR MONEY BACK OR SOMETHING!
yeah, I tend to agree w/the first answerer there (only read first answer) but I kinda like the 'goth look' too, hon. Ever think of like putting a red or green streak over there.. doing some heavy kinda make-up? I noticed some (I hate the news, God...) newscaster chick deliberately DID have her hair (it was below the ear tho.. ) longer on one side.. looked kinda cool (rest of her didn't.) I wouldn't go back to this swell spot tho... later (going to run out for a haircut... ) melancholia
go back and complain and get your money back.
I would return to the salon and ask that it be corrected. If you do not trust that particular stylist.. ask for another one at no charge.

    You NOT have to be ugly...just say ';I just noticed that this one side seems shorter than the other side, could you please fix it?';
dont pay her, or make her str8en u up ,then only pay her the amount of the style, not extra for fixing her own mistake
If she/he did that to me , i'd kick that persons butt and shave his/her head bald.
Simple, go back and show her what she did. If it is a reputable Salon they will either fix it for free or refund the cost of the cut.
You paid her to do a service and she did you a dis-service. Go back and TELL her to even it out, that it is shorter on one side. She WILL make amends because you are the customer, and they want your business and you are supposed to be satisfied. If you are too shy to go back, then you will have to live with it! And learn to never go to HER again! Hope you get evened out!
I WOULDN'T PAY HER AT ALL IF SHE MESSED UP MY HAIR AND I WOULD TELL HER TO MAKE THEM EVEN!!!!
there is no point getting mad. i will ask her to trim my hair on the other side how best it is possible. But i will never visit that salon again in my life

What is the best non-salon shampoo and conditioner? I have very dry hair but I'm tired of spending so much $$$?

I used to use the Matrix Sleek Look line, which is a salon brand, and like you got tired of spending so much to get the look I wanted so I set out to find something comparable. I tried Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine, and although it smells wonderful, it doesn't work nearly as well as the salon brand. Then as a last effort I bought the cheapest shampoo EVER... Suave Sleek. Its awesome. works just as well as the salon brand. I also use the healthy curls collection, also by suave. Good Luck, hope that helps :)What is the best non-salon shampoo and conditioner? I have very dry hair but I'm tired of spending so much $$$?
Try John Freda's collection of root awakening shampoo, conditioner %26amp; health boosting detangling spray. I use a lot of heat in my hair to straighten it so this leaves my hair dry %26amp; frizzy but John Frieda's collection has done a great job. Make sure you use the health boosting detangling spray as this gives a brilliant shine %26amp; also acts as a heat protectent.

The shampoo, conditioner %26amp; detangling spary comes for approximately $20 %26amp; they are worth it.

EAT healthy. Protein rich diet with sufficient vitamin E will nourish your hair from within. What is the best non-salon shampoo and conditioner? I have very dry hair but I'm tired of spending so much $$$?
Do you have a health food store near you? Some of the organic brands costing about $7.00 a bottle are fabulous, and gentle to your hair. Jason's and Giovanni's are very good natural brands.
aussie moist shampoo %26amp; conditioner works great it hydrates hair leaving it smooth shiny.

i have darkish to medium brown hair %26amp; blue eyes. it's very long but i love it long :]

when i get it dyed a lighter shade of brown, is there such a dye that can make it a few different shades so it makes it look shiny %26amp; not dull?

how will it turn out color wise?

thankyou %26amp; 10 points given for the most thorough answer with details if you can :] Dying my hair at a salon, will the dye make my hair only one color?
Well I had medium brown hair and dyed my hair chocolate brown. I told her I didn't want it to look a dull and boring brown so she mixed 4 different shades of brown to get a chocolate brown result with tons of shine and just a really beautiful color. In the end you will only have one solid color but they can mix a few different colors together to get the perfect shade that you have in mind. Dying my hair at a salon, will the dye make my hair only one color?
You can ask for the die that adds highlights to your hair. Most dies do though.

Can anyone recommend a good salon in Manhattan/Harlem for a relaxer (touchup) for African American hair?

    Hi,

I'm new in midtown but anywhere in Manahattan or Harlem is convenient to me.

Can you tell me how much they charge for this service?

And which stylist you recommend there?

I was conned 4 years ago by an ameteur stylist and lost all my hair. Was too trusting and didn't do my research then. I learned my lesson. Have had very good results from Dominican salons most recently but will try others.

Salon hair coloring? prices and permanent?

i have dyed my brown hair black before. it was from a box. the box said it was PERMANENT. but that was a load of crap. it washed out after a little while. now im looking to dye my brown hair black again. but this time im considering a salon job. i would like to know the average prices for dying and the best place that can give me a very very very 100% permanent job. my hair is a little thick and a couple inches below my shoulders. thanx.Salon hair coloring? prices and permanent?
Take it from someone who has been coloring hair myself and having it done for years and years...the color washes out if the pigment in your hair is gone, or either you have oily hair, or wash it very often, even dry hair, color never last even by a professional, even with all the shampoo's and conditioners for color to stay true, they don't last, and now they have glaze out that helps the color stay truer by staining the hair, but, the more you wash your hair the more the color fades. I've paid hundreds at a time, and the color still doesn't last, and done it on my own...it's all the same...just depends on your hair type, ect...but, don't waste the money, and don't over color your hair too much to damage it...good luckSalon hair coloring? prices and permanent?
No hair colouring product is 100% permanent. Drug store hair colouring products are labelled permanent because they don't wash out in just 2 or 3 shampoos. But they will all fade with time, usually in less than 4 weeks.

Plus, remember your hair grows (about a millimeter a day) so even if the colour is permanent your roots are your natural colour.

Professional hair colouring products are more saturated and will last longer than drug store brands, but short of bleaching your hair to strip out all your colour and then dying it completely nothing will be 100% permanent. But a professional salon will give you colour that lasts longer than box brands.

My natural colour is brown, and I had a professional bleach it blond and I go back once a month to have them touch up my roots.
First of all there is no very, very, very permanent hair color. They all fade and wash out over time, depending on how much time you spend in the sun and how often you wash your hair. If you go to a salon expect to pay $35 or higher and it will need to be redone every 4-8 weeks to maintain it. You can do that yourself, the biggest difference is when they redo it they get just the roots for the first 10-20 minutes then pull it through the rest of the hair so the ends don't grab to much color or get damaged. If you have someone who can help you each time, I'd do it at home. Just buy the following items and dedicate them for hair coloring: a plastic bowl, a color brush (from Sally's), clips to separate the sections, and a rat tailed comb. Good luck
Depends on where you are, usually an all over colour will cost between 鈧?0-60, but Ive found that no colour is 100% permenant, usually it fades from a salon and needs to be done every 6 weeks but a good shampoo should help maintain the colour for longer. Ive just realised that Im answering questions on hair and my nickname is ';brokenhairvicky'; dont be put off tho cuz my hair is broken from bleaching and a dumb hairdresser, damn it I should have stayed brunette!

Ones which have good results and don't damage your hair very much

Good pair of salon hair straighteners?
    GHD's everytime

    deffinately get them

they make your hair smooth, very shiney

you can curl your hair very well with them too

obviously make sure you use heat protection spray as you should everytime you apply heat to your hair

    good luck...X

Good pair of salon hair straighteners?
all straighteners damage your hair. some do more damage depending on how you use them.

personally, i use a Sedu straightener. it has lasted about 3 years and is still working great. I also heard that Chi is a good straightener. you can probably get these things from Ulta or some kind of salon store. if you dont want to do a lot of damage, make sure you lower the temperature. if you have thin hair, use a low temp. for thicker hair, you need a higher temperature though otherwise it wont work effectively.
    GHDs. or Remington.

i have Remington and i've straightened my hair practically everyday for the last 2 years, they do damage hair a tiny bit but to make sure you don't damage your hair too much you should get it trimmed every 6-8 weeks, to stop getting too many split ends etc. it was kinda a long answer, but i hope i helped. (:
    hiya :)

i recently bought these straighteners from my hairdressers.

theyre really good, and they leave my hair looking really healthy.

i have really thick hair and its naturally really wavy and strong but it works really well !! theyre quite cheap i got mine for 拢55.

    theyre called vogetti.

and the hair salon i bought them from use them now.

I bought a Jose Eber flat iron about a year ago, and I wish I never wasted a cent on all those pieces of drugstore garbage I used to buy. This one heats up to 420 degrees and STAYS HOT! I haven't seen any damage but I only use it twice a week or so and only with a staightening spray.

    http://www.joseebersalonproducts.com/
The CHI, when used with the products your hair is still silky smooth and completely straight. It is close to $130 but is well worth the price

I have a straightener called wet2straight and it also works really well and is under $30.

    Hope this helps
well all hair Straighteners damage your hair

but just buy some good ones like GHD's or something else like them and put heat protector on your hair everytime before you use them

Im 6 weeks pregnant is it okay to dye my hair if i do it myself instead of at the salon?

what are the risk? will it hurt my baby?Im 6 weeks pregnant is it okay to dye my hair if i do it myself instead of at the salon?
i wouldnt. dyning your hair can harm you and your baby. everything you smell , your baby smell 10x harder. in one bottle ,there alot chemical.

when i was pregant , i wanted to do the same thing , dye my hair . do the same thing everyday that i do. is dress up , put some makeup on and feel pretty, when i wanted to dye my hair , my mom and my boyfriend went crazy on my a s s . x but i was hardheaded. so i did anyways. and in a few hour later , my head start spinning and i didnt feel good at all . my body feft werid. so i went to the ERoom , they asked me what i did that aftrnoon, i told them i dye my hair, and i got the same reaction. they yell at me. and told me it was bad.!

    you might feel okay.

but think about it, is it hurting your baby.?

ask your doctor , about this . theyll give you a good reason WHY not to. or look it up online,

i hope you make the right choice dear, my baby is everything to me. i care about not hurting her 1st.Im 6 weeks pregnant is it okay to dye my hair if i do it myself instead of at the salon?
There is not difference in you doing it versus doing it at the salon. You're still using dye and your hair is still changing colors.

The main problem with dying your hair in the first trimester is that you might have a bad reaction to the smell of the hair dye. The smell might make you nauseous. Still, I would run it by your doctor first. Give them a call on Monday, just to make sure.
Please DON'T do it either way...the chemicals can harm your baby and all because you want to change your hair color...that is not a good reason to put at risk your unborn baby's health. You have to wait at least until you are on your second trimester before doing that because your baby is forming and those chemicals can affect him or her really bad...Don't listen to those persons that tell you it's ok to do it...it's better to be safe than sorry...it's all in your hands...I decided not to color my hair during my whole pregnancy because I do care about my baby, I want to do whatever is in my hands to prevent problems...I have enough with my gestational diabetes, placenta previa, and other complications...why look for more? Think about it please..
Yeah its fine, it wont hurt tha baby at all i promise.

How much does it cost to get your hair dyed at a salon?i messed up mine bad!?

my roots are red like i wanted my whole head but my bottom is black! How much does it cost to get your hair dyed at a salon?i messed up mine bad!?
Your bottom is black because you have color on the ends and your natural regrowth (roots) were not colored so they are the only thing that took the color. Do NOT attempt to do it yourself. Call around and find out what the base price is that diff. salons charge for corrective color because thats what you need. They charge more for it, but trust me, if you try to do it yourself, you will end up going in anyways and paying even MORE later ! They will still have to see you to give you a quote, but they may give you an idea what corrective starts at if you ask for a base price. Plan on being in the salon longer too. Don't make plans afterward, and be patient. How much does it cost to get your hair dyed at a salon?i messed up mine bad!?
Glad to help. What did you end up paying? : ) Report Abuse

Actually you don't have to go to the salon anymore they have great products out there for botched hair dye jobs. If you just did it wash your hair twice with a dandruff shampoo - there is an ingredient in there that will help you get it out. If it is a couple days old get some Loreal color zap or Color Fix by Jheri Redding - otherwise a dye job at a solon can cost you anywhere from 45 - 145 bucks

    Good Luck!
    depends anywhere from $25-500
i got only highlights and that was only like $10!but if u want ur whole hair i think its like $20-$25!
When I had a bad dye job, it cost me $60 to have it fixed at the salon. That was the ONLY time I ever paid to have it done at a salon since it's much cheaper to do it at home. I had actually dyed my hair too dark (I have light skin, so it made me look gothic. lol), so I tried that ';haircolor remover'; and ended up with orange hair, but then when I tried to dye over the orange cr*p, it wouldn't hold, so instead of buying another box of hair color, I just had it fixed at a salon. I haven't dyed my hair for months now.
color correction is around 100 bucks but its worth it. If you just go over what you have done it could do real damage to you hair and it could start to break off. Look for someone who knows color correction.
    its about 35.00-40.00.
it depends on the salon. look around see where you can get a good deal they usually range between 20-25$ hope it helps =)

  • Don't Superheroines ever go to the Hair salon or do normal stuff that women do?

For Instance you never see Zattana from dc or Ms. Marvel from marvel running out of a hairsalon with a head full of curlers because they were getting a perm or flying out victoria's secret going to save the day while they were trying on Lingerie. Now that I'd like to see!!!Don't Superheroines ever go to the Hair salon or do normal stuff that women do?
Good question. And where do they get the money for all those rubber outfits and do they have them professionally cleaned?Don't Superheroines ever go to the Hair salon or do normal stuff that women do?
    Yeah well....

Ms. Marvel is an Avenger now.... so I guess Jarvis takes care of all her pedicures, hair cuts, and lingerie needs!
Madame Medusa of the Inhumans doesn't need a hairstylist... and with the skimpy outfits most superheroines wear, who needs lingerie...?

    HAIR SALON QUESTION??

Do you like having your hair washed?

Have you ever had your hair washed and styled for a special occasion?

Who usually shampoos you, your stylist or an assistant?

When was the last time you had your hair washed at the salon?

What do they say to indicate that they will be washing your hair?HAIR SALON QUESTION??
i work in a salon and in my salon and other high end places the assistant is usually the one who washes. clients aslo like to have their head massaged during the conditioner, this helps them to relax and helps tension in their head. and beofre you get yur hair cut the assistant just walk you to the shampoo bowl and starts. and its always good to tip the shampooer

    Hair salon help!!!?

can someone plz tell me a good hair salon where i can get a trim as well as a side bang?? plz me and me mom have been fighting so much just cuz she thinks the barbers are going to mess up my hair while making the side bang and i really want to get the side bang badly!!!!Hair salon help!!!?
Best thing to do is ask someone who has a side bang. Ask them where they got their cut. If you see someone's hair that you really like the cut and style, Ask them where they went. I have been doing hair for 25 years, I am not a barber, I am a Stylist, there is a difference. Don't go to a barber, or Fantastic Sams, stay away from the assembly line shops, go to a real salon and tell them what you want, but most of all be sure to understand what you really want, and DONT want out of a haircut/trim. Anything else, please just ask me... I'll be happy to help.Hair salon help!!!?
GO TO A UPSCALE SALON, OR A RETRO SALON WHERE THEY DO THEIR HAIR DIFFERENT COLORS AND FUNKY, I AM A STYLIST AND I KNOW THAT SALON STAYS UP ON CURRENT FASION TRENDS, GOOD LUCK
If you see someone on the street and you like the way their hair is done with the side bang ask where they get their hair done. Really, the best way is to see the outcome of what a stylist did before you go to him/her.
ummm we can't really suggest a good hair salon if we don't know where you live, but any higher-end salon would be able to give you a good side bang that suits your face and frames it well. DONT try to do it yourself, it never works. I work at a high end hair salon and I know they will give you something that works best for you.

  • Hair Salon !?

Okay, so I want to get my hair cut, but I have NO IDEA where to go. I've had MANY bad hair cuts, so I dont just want to just go to a random place.

    I want this haircut:

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v668/o鈥?/a>

Anyone know where I could get it done like that?

Or anyone with that type of hair, whered you get it done?

I live in New York, so any salons in New York City would be fine.

This haircuts hard to do, so I need a good salon.

I know I sound dumb, but I really need you to help me out. ^o^

I was going to go to hairsay [anyone know if theyre good?] but I had to wait 3 months and I want it cut before school starts, if possible.

Thanks for reading. ^-^;Hair Salon !?
Print out that picture and take it with you. No reputable stylist will tell you they can fix your hair that way if they can't.

However, I do not recommend your corner fantastic sams or supercuts. If you want your hair to look very close to that, you need to go to some place that charges $80-$100 just for the style. That may seem like an arm and leg (or maybe it doesn't if you got money like that) but places that charge like that work to impress, so everyone will ask you where you got it done...They aren't going to send you away looking bad.

But again, print out that picture. That way your stylist knows EXACTLY how you want it, no confussion.Hair Salon !?
    they are really good

that's why the wait is so long
Hmm...Check out the phonebook.DONT go anywhere in the mall, @ a store like zellers, wallmart or anyplace like that. But I would try someplace like high end, but not a prissy place...I know I am no help
    Emo!
There is nothing difficult about this cut. Any SuperCuts or Fantastic Sam's in the country can do it just fine if you take in the pic. It's so layered that you can't possible get a ';bad'; cut with it. Just go do it, and don't worry about it.
it's hard to find a place that will give you the cut that you want and that cut isn't easy but it has been around the block so make sure you put your own twist on it and with the salons i would suggest going to various places around your area and see which one appeals to you best and does your style often. it might take a little bit of research but then you'll get what you want.
why don't you get something more original instead of getting something that every scene kid in the world has?
If you want to get a cut like that you really need a place that you feel confident in. Choosing a place shouldn't be too hard, just try and find a place with hip or modern stylists so they know what your thinking of and understand why. Before you decide on one specific place visit a few and talk to the hair stylists. Whichever you think will be the best for your hair, go for it. Take a chance and enjoy your cut!
Well, cutting it yourself is the best way to go; you know how you want it, so it won't get screwed up. if you're too scared to do it yourself, go to Tony%26amp;Guy at the mall. They are experts and professionals and they specialize in those kind of haircuts. Just tell them exactly how you want your cut (or show them the picture on the link you left) and I guarantee it'll look great...^-^

    Hair salon question?????????

Do you get your hair shampooed? Who shampoos you your stylist or assistant? Do you wear a cape or have a towel around your shoulders for your shampoo? do you keep your eyes open or closed during your shampoo? Do they stand at your side or behind you during your shampoo? Do you talk while being shampooed? Is anyone else getting a shampoo done at the same time?Hair salon question?????????
im going to answer them in order

    yes.

    my stylist does.

i have the cape and a towel

    both open and closed

    they stand beside you

yes if they talk to me.

sometimes, if there are other people needing a shampoo

why dont you just go get one?Hair salon question?????????
I do get my hair shampooed and the assistant does it. I wear a cape and then a towel on my shoulders. I close my eyes personally because I find it relaxing. They stand behind me while shampooing. I dont talk, as I said before It is relaxing. Many other people are getting shampooed at the same time

    Hair salon question??????

How many times do you plan to ask this? A couple of days ago you were getting your hair cut THAT day. And also two weeks ago. And about a month ago. Obsess much? Some kind of fetish?Hair salon question??????
As a stylist, I always shampoo my clients. It difficult to wet the hair adequately with only a spray bottle. I usually shampoo myself however if the salon you are going to uses an assistant, this would be their job.

I cape all of my clients as soon as they are in my chair.

Usually my clients close their eyes and relax and enjoy getting their hair washed. I also do a scalp massage for relaxation when I apply conditioner.

Depending on what type of shampoo bowl it is determines whether they stand beside you or behind you. The european bowls are stand alone so your stylist would shampoo from behind. Most salons have side bowls I think.

Sometimes my clients talk and sometimes they just quietly enjoy their experience.

We have 3 bowls at my salon so often, more than one person at a time is getting shampooed.

My best advice to you is this: your stylist wants you to have the best experience. Everyone is different so talk to her/him in the beginning and let them know what a perfect experience would be for you.

They should do their best to honor that and if they don't.....time to find a different stylist!

    Hope that helps.

    Good luck!
I do get my hair shampooed. And yes, usually they do ask.

My stylist shampoos my hair, but they could also have an assistant.

    They give you a towel.

I usually close my eyes, because the water they use is sooo soothing, and comforting.

They usually stand on the side.

Some stylist talk while shampooing, most of the time they ask how you want your hair cut.

Or will they only be able to add more highlights?I have light brown hair with blonde highlights, if I go to a salon will they be able to make it all blonde?
As your original hair color is not that far off from your desired color they can do it relatively easilyI have light brown hair with blonde highlights, if I go to a salon will they be able to make it all blonde?
yeah, they can dye it blonde for you. but make sure they don't leave the bleach on your hair too long. it can chemically burn your hair.(dry it out, it'll break off, and fall out) In my opinion, just get some more highlights. I had a bad experience with getting my hair dyed at a salon. Now I don't dye it at all...good luck
yeah theyll be able 2 dye it
My girlfriend buys this Beach Blond stuff to make her hair Blond almost white because it had bleach in it. She makes me put on those plastic gloves and message it in her hair. You girls go through a lot just to stay blond.
they can do any thing but if i were you id keep it the way it is now and just get more blond highlights i think all blond hair looks a bit on the trashy side
They can pretty much do whatever you ask them to do.

Stylists love giving cuts like that. Not boring.
yes, and just go to the salon you want it done at and you can ask to make an appointment, or you might be able to just get it done then if they welcome walk-ins
oh my gosh yes!! go right now! girls like cute hair cuts!
yes, there are lots of guys that go to salons to get their hair cut, i really like that style. and the better places will usually do a better job with a difficult style,. :) to get an appt you can either call the salon or go there and tell them what you want done and ask which stylist is more experienced or could do a really good job. they can tell you.

    Hair salon prices?

How much do you estimate it would cost for some one with blonde hair to get their hair colored like the picture in this link? http://www.canadianmusiccafe.com/2007/im鈥?/a>

Thank you to everyone that answers!Hair salon prices?
it shouldnt be too much. maybe about 100..ish depending on what type of place you go to...all they have to do is dye your hair darker, and leave out some top chunks for the pink color, then color those.

if you're good with hair, you could do it yourself. pick out the sections you want to be pink, put conditioner on them (so the dark color wont go over your blonde) and clip them up so they don't touch the rest of your hair. buy a box of dark color, put it on, and rinse everything out as the directions say. then after it dries, place the pink hair color on your blonde, and follow the timing on the bottle. to note though, it's best to leave on the pink for longer then it says. you can buy good colors from hottopic. idr the name of the brand, but it's a small bottle with snap tops. there's a brand that looks like a color applicator bottle-- but dont get that one. it doesn't go on as bright as it looks like it would.Hair salon prices?
It depends on the salon that you go to. Different salons have different prices. Call a few places and find out.

Walking into a new Salon how do you choose who does your hair?

You could ask to see if they have any portfolio's of their work. If they don't, see if you can see which one's hair you like the style of. Then ask who did her hair. Or some salon's have different stylists to do different styles.

Ask around friends and see if anyone knows anyone who works at the salon and ask if they recommend any stylist in particular.

You should pick someone who has been working there for awhile. Someone with a lot of experience.

Is It Possible To Go To The Hair Salon To Get My Hair Straightened And Trimmed Without Getting APerm, Relaxer, Or Any Chemials Put In To My Hair Because Im Staring Over And I Want My Hair To Grow out Naturally, I Dont Want To Damage it More Than Is Damaged Already.......So Please Help If You Can And If you Cant Dont Leave None Of your DUMB *** COMMENTS..........Hair Salon......?
Yes, you can do it at home also. Thats if you know how to do a roller set. Roller set your hair to get your roots straight and then go over your hair w/ a flat-

If you decide to go to a salon than just ask for a blow-out, do not let them fool you into getting a texturizer. That is just another relaxer that loosens the curl pattern. If you live anywhere on the East coast or in florida where they're are a lot of dominicans than go to a one of their salons, they are the absolute best when it comes to doing blow outs. You can also ask them to hot comb your roots to blend the two textures.

WARNING!!! Putting constant heat on your new growth/natural hair will distort your curl pattern, dry it out, and eventually cause your hair to break. Be sure you are only washing with shampoo once a wek and deep condition at least once a week to restore moisture.

    Any transsexual friendly hair salon?

Hi! Just wanted to ask if there's any transsexual friendly hair salon here in London I mean where hairdressers will not discriminate me. I am a 19 year old male to female transsexual and I want to get a good feminine haircut but I am worried that I might get discriminated and they might ruin my hair on purpose and please can you state your price. Thank you very much everyone :)Any transsexual friendly hair salon?
';rachel4u90'; is right, Kyla; most hairdressers will be quite happy to style your hair (It's not in their interest to ruin your hair; unhappy customers tell their friends).

A phone call in advance would be a good idea; they might be able to arrange an appointment at a quiet time, if you're a little self-conscious (as we all are, at first)Any transsexual friendly hair salon?
a simply phone call with this question would work.I'm ts,living full time and not bashful.I would say poise this to a local glbt community.

My stylist is 100% gay and love his work.

Remember these are service providers and rely on you for income.
They can not do that no matter how much that they dislike the fact that you are Transgender if they mess your hair up you are entitled to Sue them trust me im a transgender female to male I know how you feel.
I sympathize with your feelings, and agree that a telephone call would not be a bad idea. However, you might well be worrying unecessarily. As a transexual, how will the hairdresser know that you were not born as a female? If you dress as a female and behave as one, then I am sure that most folk would be none the wiser. Good luck!
I don't think any of them would purposely mess up your hair. You are a paying customer and they want you to come back. I'm not from your area so I can't recommend a specific place. But if you do go in somewhere and get bad vibes just leave. I wish I'd taken my own advice about that a few times.
    Hi,

normally women hairdressers are very friendly with transsexual people all over the world. What I would never do is try the scissors of a gay hairdresser.
    What is transexual hair ?

Pump for a hair salon sink? ?

Im building a salon in a garage. I want to pump the water from two sinks where hair will be washed to a drain 20ft away (horizontal). What kind of pump would i use? (not affected by the hair, soap, bleach, dyes, ect) Pump for a hair salon sink? ?
You can get pumps that are used when basements are below grade and sewer systems. You can also get pumps that will handle toilet waste if you have to pump that up to a sewer or septic system. Any reputable plumbing supply house could advise on the local options. If they do not normally carry them then they should be able to order those pumps.

You may have to have the sinks drain into a drum and put the pump in the drum to automatically pump it out.

Do you tip the salon owner for cutting and coloring your hair?

Seems like I've read that you shouldn't tip the owner....I have always tipped my stylist so NOT tipping will be weird especially since I'm not sure if I should or not.Do you tip the salon owner for cutting and coloring your hair?
I always tip my hair stylist , even if thye are the owner and I tip 20%Do you tip the salon owner for cutting and coloring your hair?
Yes you tip everyone. Its the right thing to do.
you tip the stylist that does your hair. She is the one who put all the effort into making you look your best. The salon owner makes profit off of what you pay at the desk.

if i do someones hair and they don't tip me i either think that they don't like what i've done or they just don't appreciate how hard our job is.

you should always tip your stylist. You don't need to tip the owner UNLESS the owner is the person doing your hair.
I only tip if they do my hair good. I don't tip the owner. But I tip the stylist who does my hair, well actually the owner happens to be my stylist. But you tip the person who did your hair.
    yeah i do
dont tip the owner just the stylist wel the stylist deserves it cuz the money ur paying to do it is going to the owner so the tips should only go to the stylist

  • How do you color your hair at home when you've always had it done at a salon - how to make the transition?

Unless you know what colors your colorist uses or you hate your color, I wouldn't suggest it.

People don't realize that when they color their hair themselves, they usually overlap the color that was done before.

It's different if you really cut down your hair every time your color your hair.

The only exception is black color.

Perhaps you may want to transition into a low maintainence color/semi permanent color? That kind of color would fade gently out of your hair without the severe roots. You can't really mess it up.How do you color your hair at home when you've always had it done at a salon - how to make the transition?
not as easy as it sounds, find something that is closest to what you have already and have someone help you do it. also make sure to check the bottle inside the box before you buy it , many times they aren't the same as the box #How do you color your hair at home when you've always had it done at a salon - how to make the transition?
Acutally its hard for me because I have always had it done professionally and I cant stand doing it myself. Hey but vanity gets the best of us.
stick witht the salon they know what the are doing.

nothing worse then looking down in the sink and all your hair is in it.
Call your salon and tell them you wish to know what brand (Clairol, REDKEN,Loreal, etc) they used on you and the name and/or number. A professional hair salon should take record and release statements and should have your color formula written on file. When you find the brand, look up their 1-800 number and ask them which home color would match the professional color that was used.
The best thing to do is to start out with at home highlights, or a level 2 semi-permanent dye, so it's not a huge commitment. Always read ALL of the directions, and have someone help you!
all you have to do is get a box of the dye color you like at the store and read the directions it will tell you everything...why dont you go to the hair dresser again

My hair was thinned at the salon. Will it grow back?

I have always had thick hair. When I went to the salon last, she thinned my hair alot and I honestly didn't even know she was doing it b/c she played it off by saying she was ';texturizing the ends';. My question is will my hair grow back and be as thick as it use to be?My hair was thinned at the salon. Will it grow back?
dont worry it will grow back

when u are in salon please keep ur eyes openMy hair was thinned at the salon. Will it grow back?
Yes it will, but you may need a trim or two to even out the ends. Next time you go, say no thinning or texturizing before they start. Watch for those funky scissors and stop them before they start. I have thick, coarse hair and every hair dresser wants to thin it so I can have more volume and texture. I tell them flat out, NO. It ruins the look of your hair and makes it uneven. I still don't understand how they can think that is good.
    yeah?

but thanks for the 2 points anyways
Don't worry, your hair will grow back and be thick again.
Give it about a 2 months, you'll have your usual thickness back on your head.
Yes it will grow back, thinning out does absolutely no damage to the hair whatsoever, when you next go back in just say you don't want it thinned out and they will blunt cut it. In about 12 weeks you won't even notice that it was thinned out.
I have really thick hair too. My stylist has actually told me not to ever thin my hair because it will grow back thicker. I don't think that you have anything to worry about -- it may take a while, but your hair will definitely grow back at least as thick as it was before. In the meantime, learn to love your new hairstyle -- you may be surprised -- it might be a lot easier to manage!! (And try another salon next time if you're not satisfied with your hair cut . . . . )

Good luck -- hope this helps you!! :D
try a product names triaxon will omg totally help or shin min something like that
YES! Dont be so silly. Thinning your hair means that she probably like razored it to create some shorter pieces that will make it appear thinner.
yes but i would get some hair vitamins just to make sure
Yes it will don't worry for some hair styles thick hair may have to be thinned but its not called texurizing its called thinning it will be fine don't worry. Good Luck
Hair always grows back but you probably have to work to get that thickness back. Take multi or hair vitamins and use products that are for thickening hair. They wont work overniote but after a while ur hair will be back to normal.
    Yes, if not thicker
When they 'thin' your hair, they are simply cutting some strands shorter than the others, so it will grow back just as thick after a few more cuttings without thinning.
    probably yes, given time
Yes, your hair will grow back, I promise. It'll just take time, you'll eventually see it begin to get thicker.

The same thing happened to me recently so I can understand your worry.
Your hair WILL grow back exactly like it was with time. You will always have the same ammount of individual hairs unless the follicles die for some reason. Thinning will not kill your follicles.

I have super thick, long hair and my stylist refuses to use ';thinning shear';. It thins your hair for the time being, but when it grows back, the hairs that she ';cut out'; graduated down the length of your hair, are actually very short. As they grow out, your hair will become seemingly puffy or super thick and then return to normal as soon as the shortest of hairs has reached normal length.

I've had mixed experiences, but usually, if they thin it ALOT it will be more ';puffy'; as it grows back.

If you want to get rid of some weight in your hair, I absolutely suggest long layers. That's what I do.

And FYI, thick hair is a blessing, I know it's so hot on your neck and a pain to dry in the morning, but that lady was crazy if she thinned it so much.

No worries, ok? Good luck :)

I get my hair done blond at the salon, anyways I decided to do my hair at home and my roots are reddish now?

and the rest of my hair is is blond, what do I do??I used lorealI get my hair done blond at the salon, anyways I decided to do my hair at home and my roots are reddish now?
Well you can do a few things. You can go to the salon and have them bleach your roots to match the rest of your hair. You probably did not leave the color on long enough to lighten your roots. If you are dying your hair at home and your natural color is darker you will need to use a dye with bleach in it or lightner in it to lift the red out. OR you can dye the entire thing brown and start over by going to salon and having them lighten your hair.

Ladies - what's the most disastrous experience at the hair salon you've ever had?

I've had my hair turned orange before as well as green.........thank God it's never fallen out..........Ladies - what's the most disastrous experience at the hair salon you've ever had?
i had this older lady doing my hair once, she made me think she knew what she was doing. she had trimmed my layers, and was supposed to blow them out. but she left my hair a frizzy mess %26amp; told me it looked good. i was in the mirror ready to cry. i grabbed my hair %26amp; put it in a ponytail. several people in the salon tried to get me to let them fix it, but i stormed out of the salon %26amp; never returned....Ladies - what's the most disastrous experience at the hair salon you've ever had?
My stylist cutting to much of my hair off insteading of giving me a trim. It grew back.
    i dont go to salons
i've had mine';thinned';,i looked like i'd been in some kind of an accident with the wood chipper.
Sigh...this was when I was 18 years old. I was about to graduate from High School, and perms were in style back then and I had stick straight hair. I told the woman I wanted *loose curls*. What did she do? She used tiny rods and I looked like a poodle afterwards. I remember my best friend laughing at me. I spent the rest of the summer trying to straighten it out by putting conditioner on it daily. I'd like to strangle that woman!
A Vietnamese stylist turned my hair into a mega puffy hair with this gel stuff... thank God after treating it, it got back to its normal way.
well obviously im not a lady but one time i went to the salon, and i have nothing against gay people, but i had a gay guy doin my hair and he starts running his fingers through my hair and like massaging my scalp and he's like ';omgggg ur hair is so thick and healthy'; and idk i just thought it was wierd
The worst has to be when I went in for frost highlights and ended up with gold ones ewww but also they were so uneven.
my hair turned a deep purple like Gothic maroon, I cried. Naturally my hair is blond and I am fair complected so the combination was NOT a pleasant sight.I don't have her do my hair, my pedicure, nothing anymore!!!

Help!!! I want to date the girl at the hair salon?

I am 19 years of age, I am a web designer running my own business and I don鈥檛 date at all because I spend all of the time building up my business and waiting to meet the right girl.

But a while ago while I was at the hair salon and I saw this 1 in a billion girl that made the world stopped. Every time I saw her it looks like she doing something to attract my attention. 1. She laughed at something I told the hair dresser that wasn鈥檛 even funny. 2. Blink here eye when I was paying for the hair cut. (She does this only with me, I checked) 3. When I arrived she was standing in the door way and as I squeezed past here she looked into my eyes and we had a pause for a few seconds and then we just babbled and to each other as she told me, I can go sit there.

I don鈥檛 know what to do? Every time I see everything stops and my voice. She is 1-2 years older than me.(looks) There is a guy working at the salon that I know鈥an I use him to my advantage? I want to get to know her. Any ideas?Help!!! I want to date the girl at the hair salon?
Well, it sounds like you don't know this girl very well(which is okay), so you should talk to the guy you know to try to find out more about her. Obviously you need to find out if she is dating anyone else. Other than that, find out what she is interested in. What does she like to do for fun? Then find a way to invite her to do that with YOU. If she likes a certain band, ask her to a concert. If she likes to knit, ask her to a knitting circle. If she likes to read, ask her to a book club. I'm sort of kidding about the crazy dates, but a date to something she LIKES is better than just a movie. Also, you may consider going out on a double-date with the guy from the salon, because he could help guide the conversation...especially when you get all tongue-tied!Help!!! I want to date the girl at the hair salon?
Why don't you go just go up to her and ask her out? If you already had those little moments and she's obviously sent you some signs, I'd say she's waiting for you to make the first move!

If she's this 1 in a billion girl, I'd certainly take the chance, otherwise you'll always be wondering whether she'd say yes...And if she doesn't, well, maybe you'll find a girl just as nice and pretty in another hair salon ;o) no, just kiddin' - go for it man!

  • I have made a claim at the county court against a hair salon and I need advice please?

Basically, the hairdresser used the wrong colour on my hair which was a disaster. The salon tried to correct it but made it alot worse. The manager refused to redo my hair or refund me. I sent letters to the manager which were ignored so I contacted trading standards and put a claim into county court.to recover the money I paid aswel as my colour correction at the other salon. I have photographic evidence of my hair, a written colour consultation and bill from the salon that corrected my hair which will help with my claim.

I received a letter from the managers solicitor saying they will pay me the total sum once they have received confirmation that the claim has been withdrawn otherwise they will defend the claim. I would happily accept the payment to settle the claim but do I trust them to send me the cheque? Would I be able to sue them if they didnt send me the money after I had withdrawn my claim?

Thank you in advance for your advice/comments.I have made a claim at the county court against a hair salon and I need advice please?
It sounds like they are trying to trick you. don't drop the claim. I would write a letter right back saying you will drop the claim when their check has cleared the bank and the money is in your account. they don't want to go to court cause they will have to pay a lawyer and spend time defending something they will probably lose anyway. it sounds like you are doing your homework and have evidence to support you. I say stick to your guns girl!I have made a claim at the county court against a hair salon and I need advice please?
Do not agree to drop the claim on their terms. Counter with a letter stating that you will drop the claim upon the receipt of a bank check in the settlement amount. Insist on a bank check as this is treated the same as cash.

Is there any way to get a good deal at a hair salon?

I need to have my regrowth bleached and my ends trimmed. I have been shopping around for a new stylist and have been to a couple of salons for prices. I have been hearing about 65 just for the bleach and additional 50 to 60 to trim. One lady at some dumpy salon told me 95 for just bleach and I almost told her where she could stick it. Even though we are in a recession and every salon I go into is pretty much empty why does it seem like stylists are upping the price. I know bleach is about 5 bucks at the beauty supply, is doing a basic one color application on regrowth really 60 dollars worth of work? I'd do it myself but my hair turns very quickly and I can't get the bleach on fast enough also it's tricky to do the back. Also if there are any stylist in Huntington Beach CA who wouldn't mind doing it for a fair price let me know! ( I tip well)Is there any way to get a good deal at a hair salon?
He lives in Compton, And just graduated from beauty school. Though he is in Texas till the 9th. Not sure if you trust him or can wait that long. Owell, Hope i helped.

The smell in your hair after the salons is the smell of their products.

Buy a product that is said to be used or found in salons and use that.
Try washing your hair with cold water.

hope ive been of helpHair Dying - Going from dark brown to platinum blond without going to a salon?
okaayy.. DEFIANTLY dont do it with some woolworths one.

3 weeks ago i died my hair with blech with some crap hair stuff from woolworth IT WENT ORANGE soo i had to get it done professionally and now it looks good but my hair is falling out
Wow...you are going to need professional help. THis is hard to achieve going from dark to really light...because what you are going to end up with is fried orange hair. Have your stylists friends do what they do to make you look blonde and beautiful.
Please go to a salon. You will turn your hair yellow if you don't know what you are doing.

Has anyone ever had to take a model to a hair salon for a test ?

I had my first interview today and i can tell that they really liked me. So i have to bring my sister or a ''model'' to demonstrate a haircut and blow out. I have to bring all of my tools and after i'm finished then i will have , i guess my final interview with a senior hairstlyist.

Can anyone tell me their story ?

F.Y.I i applied to be an assistant at a hair salon.Has anyone ever had to take a model to a hair salon for a test ?
This is very common. Many salons want to see how comfortable you are with hair, whether you use a guideline, cross check your work, how fast you are etc. It's not necessarily a ';test'; just a way for them to see your work in progress. Relax, be confident, and have fun... you'll do just fine. Congrats on getting to this part of the interview... I'm sure not everyone that applies gets past the initial interview ;)

Do anybody ask for the junior hairstylist at the Kimage hair salon? How is their service?

Use the website to check reveiws for that salon:

Can you get rainbow hair dyed in a salon? Please help!?

I have blonde hair and want to dye the bangs rainbow, but I don't trust myself to do it right and want to get it professionally done. Are there salons that will do rainbow dye?Can you get rainbow hair dyed in a salon? Please help!?
A lot of people will do it but you have to be very careful about where you go because some places will mess it up. Try getting a picture of rainbow hair and go to salons and see if they will do it. BUT try to get a hair colorist that isnt young (they tend to want to finish faster and do a crappier job) and that has been working at the salon for 1 and a half years or more. It will cost probably ovr a hundred dollars though just be cautious. Do you want to spend that much money on something temporary that will grow out and damage your hair? Can you get rainbow hair dyed in a salon? Please help!?
Your bangs will continue to grow and within a few weeks you will have blond roots and the rainbow colors on the rest of the hair. I'm sure they can do a touch up for you every few weeks or monthly.

I live in a resort area and tons of young people do this, but I have honestly never seen any of them with their roots growing out so they must have touch ups at a salon on a regular basis, or they do it at home themselves.
Yes there are salons that do that. It depends on the salon and its color variety. look up salons around your area and call them. Tell them about your idea and make sure that they can do it right! If possible or if they don't understand too well over the phone, you can always make an appointment for a consultation so you can talk to someone about your rainbow colors idea. good luck! :)
yes, but be careful because it will fade quickly, i had bright pink in my hair and had to redye it every week, also had the same issue with red, it would be super cute, but dont be disappointed when it fades quickly
A Professional hair stylist is not going to want to put a rainbow dye on your head, unless they just want the money and grief.
No but i think you can get a punk rocker style in a balverine corpse
sorry none that I know of

but if you find one I would also like to know

for now it's best to use temporary colors and it is probably cheaper

How much would it cost to get you hair dyed dark brown to blonde in a salon?

i have dark brown medium length hair and my natural hair colour is really light blonde my roots have grew threw so i want my blonde hair back

so how much would it cost

i live in aberdeen uk if that mattersHow much would it cost to get you hair dyed dark brown to blonde in a salon?
It would all depend on exactly on how it's done and where, but you are likely to be looking in the region of 拢40 and upwardsHow much would it cost to get you hair dyed dark brown to blonde in a salon?
In the US it would be about $80.00.

You could use the temporary rinses on your roots and keep cutting your hair until it's finally just the real blond and the rinses will wear off.

Doing the dark to light is harder than the light to dark, and you can do the temps yourself and cheaper.
Well depending on your dark hair dye, you might need to use a bleach or colour strip before. Then they will die your hair blond. Worst case senario they will die it more than one to get your true blond back...

but it all depends on your salon. If it's really pricey, it could be $100-200 (american dollars) but if its a cheap salon anywhere from $60-130

that's a guess..... not really sure though!

im not an expert. Just guessing.
it all depends on which salon you go to, go on a couple of websites to get a rough price xx

10 points to best answer :if i bleach my hair before going to the hair salon will this work?

okay so right now im broke and i need to do something with my hair....

i bought a cute color at the drugstore and it only worked on the roots....

so i went to the hair salon and asked how much would they charge me there to color my hair ( i want a dark blonde) so they told me that the reason why no matter what color i dye my hair it will only get the roots..... so they told me they would have to put bleach first then the color.....it was gonna be like 175 bucks....since im on a tight budget i was thinking if i would bleach my hair myself and then go to get my har colored....but would it work????/ i need your advice/opinions.....thanks!10 points to best answer :if i bleach my hair before going to the hair salon will this work?
    Well, Two answers.

First is first, I am guessing its not the first time you have done your own color since they have to bleach it out before going lighter right?

The salon would in deed bleach out the length of your hair to lighten it to a color that they could then, put the desired color over.

They most likely wouldn't touch the bleach to your roots or if they did they wouldn't leave it on very long since they are already lifted.

When you do anything like this yourself your risking that your going to damage your hair more then nessesary, and also get the leopard spotting look which is easy to do if you don't know what your doing.

I would recommend going to the salon and getting a heavy bleach weave to add a lot of highlights to your hair to blend in the roots and cancel out the previous color. Doing that rather then all of your hair will make your hair look lighter in color, and still leave it quite a bit healthier.

It is worth the money to have it done right! You can only do so much to your hair before you can't do anything at all. I just want to stress that you don't want to risk messing your hair up otherwise your going to end up with a short haircut and maybe a few new hats for awhile.10 points to best answer :if i bleach my hair before going to the hair salon will this work?
Hmm..if you want a dark blonde, i'd suggest going to a hair salon to do it naturally. I've been blonde before and every single time my roots grew, I had to bleach it and it kept damaging my hair :( I have many split ends and It took FOREVER and I had to cut my hair short so I can have healthy hair again.

    OR try going to craigslist.com sometimes cosmetology students need hair models and they will either cut your hair or dye your hair for free or for CHEAP! I always see ads out there. Under ';Services - Beauty';

    GoodLuck
well it would damage your hair a lot more if you do it at home by yourself and if the hair dresser see you have but bleach in it they might not want to colour it because of the damage, but that also depends on the hairdresser. I don't think you should do it at home yourself.
my advice is to not do it. sometimes the color you want takes money! if you do it yourself and haven't done it before, if you mess up, it may be hard to fix. bleach causes a lot of damage if you dont know what you're doing. the 175 bucks will only be this one time. then the rest of the times you'll just need your roots done and that will cost way less =)
I would say not to do that because I feel that bleaching your hair is even trickier than dying your hair. The last thing you want to do is walk around with carrot orange hair for a few days or burn your hair off completely! You can ask the salon, but I would assume that they would charge you the same price with or without them having to bleach it. If you are on a budget, try finding a cheaper place. It depends on where you live, but I have lived in urban, suburban, and rural type places and always paid about 80 for them to dye my whole head or about 125 for highlights.
It depends on what color your hair is now, and if it's your natural hair or if it's dyed.

Normally, it's really hard to bleach your hair on your own. It always gets patchy and orange so you'll probably end up having to do it twice.

You're better off just going to a salon and getting it done.

I recommend going to a hair school to get your hair done. It's waaaaaaay cheaper and they do a good job because their teachers are standing there making sure their doing it right, so don't worry about them messing it up.

I hope this helped! Good luck!
